Zia has been active in inter-faith work in Merseyside for over 8 years and in that time has addressed varied audiences from schools to Liverpool's judiciary. He has constantly worked to improve the public's perception of Islam and Muslims and hopes that this project is the latest chapter in these endeavours. As a regular contributor to Pause for Thought on BBC Radio 2 and BBC Radio Merseyside he has acquired the necessary skills to discuss issues concerning Muslims in a sympathetic yet open way.

Musab is fluent in Arabic and being the son of an Imam is well-versed in classical Islam. Happily, this has not prevented him from having an enquiring mind willing to consider different viewpoints and issues which need to be dealt with by contemporary Islam. He is actively involved with youth activities and is himself a talented footballer. He brings to the project that connection with the youth which is essential for the project to succeed.
